Answer to Question 2

ANSWER:
Encryption is the process of converting readable data into unreadable characters by applying a formula that uses a code, called an encryption key. The person who receives the message uses the same encryption key to decrypt it (convert it back to readable data). Both the sender and receiver computers use the same encryption software. Any person illegally accessing the information sees only meaningless symbols. School networks do contain a great deal of important and confidential information about students, teachers, and staff so they may need to encrypt data.
