Background checks of potential employees is not new; however, the advent and proliferation of social media has added a new dimension to the traditional fingerprinting and criminal background check. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and the like, have become powerful tools for keeping in touch and expressing ideas. Describe how these forums can also be used a tool for investigating applicants.
