Sandra is thirty years old but has a history of mental health problems. She is currently a patient in a psychiatric ward and is kept heavily medicated. She scribbles out a last will and testament on a sheet of notebook paper using a crayon and signs and dates the will. Sandra also has two other patients sign as witnesses. Assume that the requirements for due execution were met in Sandra's state. Is the will valid?

The will would likely be found invalid in a court of law because Sandra, as a psychiatric patient who was highly medicated, was not of sound mind and so did not have the requisite mental capacity to execute a valid will.
