The Supremacy Clause is found in Article VI of the U.S. Constitution. The Supremacy Clause makes the U.S. Constitution and the laws of the United States the supreme law of the land. When a state passes a law that conflicts with the Constitution, the U.S. Supreme Court has the power to declare that state law unconstitutional and unenforceable.
