Answer to Question 1

Yes. A realtime transcript is produced instantaneously where an electronically -recorded transcript sometimes takes days or months to produce.

Answer to Question 2

The transcripts may be filled with inaudibles; that is, places where the words were not discernable. The record is very time consuming to produce from an electronic recorder. There may be gaps missing on electronic recorded proceedings, etc.
