Wordiness occurs when the writer inserts multiple words in a sentence to complete a thought when fewer words would establish the same thought.

Active voice is used when the subject of the sentence is performing the action. Passive voice is used when the subject of the sentence is being acted upon by the verb. Using active voice makes the sentence cleaner, and it is easier to comprehend.
