Answer to Question 1

Interest-based negotiating is collaborative and assumes that underneath the issues on the table
are other interests that need to be identified and satisfied. It also assumes that the parties may
have some interests in common that they can solve together.

Answer to Question 2

Researching the ethical rules on Westlaw or Lexis is good because you have access, within your search, to numerous case opinions that explain and interpret the rules of professional responsibility.
