Answer to Question 1

Word processing has allowed the legal team to become more efficient. At one time, a document needed to be typed two or three times before it was submitted to the court or a client. Now a document may be created, revised, and edited by the attorney at her workstation without the need for the document to be printed and retyped. Revisions may also be easily made by more than one member of the legal team. Frequently, forms and templates can be used so a document may be typed once and simply revised for the needs of a particular client. The ability to file documents electronically is also an outgrowth of the word processing software used today.
