Steve Gates was one of the engineers who developed the Accelerex device for Electro Tech. Because he was nearly 90 years old, Kate Sandberg's team took his deposition before trial to preserve his testimony. During his testimony, he provided a vivid description of how he was inspired to develop the device. However, because of his advanced age, his testimony was often muddled and difficult to understand. The trial team also wants to highlight key statements in his testimony. What tools are available to help the team with these issues?

Answer to Question 1

Kate's team can use software such as Sanction to display the testimony. The video transcript screen can show the video of Mr. Gates next to the transcript of his words so that the jury can hear as well as read it. In the course of the testimony, Kate can highlight specific lines that she wants the jury to focus on. The jury can also be provided with infrared headphones that will allow those with hearing impairments to understand the testimony.
