The federal code is published in not one, but two annotated versions. These two annotated or unofficial versions of the statutory code are available from Lexis (U.S.C.S.) and West (U.S.C.A.) publishing companies. West publishes the United States Code Annotated (U.S.C.A.) and Lexis published the United States Code Service, Lawyers Edition (U.S.C.S.).
