What are some of Quebec's most serious environmental hazards, and why is this North American region likely to continue experiencing these kinds of disturbances on a regular basis?

Students should mention the ice storms and blizzards that are common occurrences in this region, as well as flooding.

Answer to Question 2

Montreal is located on an island at the confluence of the Petite Riviere and the St. Lawrence River.
