White women: chaste and pure; Black women: oversexed and docile; Indigenous women: easy targets for assault

Answer to Question 2

high rates of sexual assault reflect disparities in power that result from race and gender, lower level of social location/status, marginalized status within some Native cultures and within U.S. as a whole
