FEEDBACK: Cattell was not interested in changing or modifying behavior from abnormal to normal, which had been the approach of other personality theorists. Those more clinically oriented theorists based their work on case studies of patients who were unhappy or emotionally disturbed and wanted to change. In contrast, Cattell's subjects were normal people.
