Answer to Question 1

ANS: F
FEEDBACK: During the muscular-anal stage at the second and third years of life, corresponding to Freud's anal stage, children rapidly develop a variety of physical and mental abilities and are able to do many things for themselves. When parents frustrate their child's attempt to exercise independence, the child develops feelings of self-doubt and a sense of shame in dealing with others.
