The vision and mission of an organization can provide guidance and direction they consist of a set of values that help an organization align its actions with its purpose.

Answer to Question 2

Students will have individual responses to this question. However, they should also recall that many restaurant employees can work in non-hospitality positions. Restaurant employees are already making a sacrifice as they work evenings, holidays, and other times outside of normal shifts. As the number of hours they work increase, there is added incentive for them to look to competitors in and outside of the restaurant industry for employment opportunities.
