Answer to Question 1

Sashimi is fish and seafood that is eaten raw, generally without rice. It is usually
prepared in long slices. Sushi is, at its simplest, seasoned rice. But, it is commonly
known as the wide range of dishes that are prepared with seasoned rice and fish
and seafood. It can be made with vegetables, fruits, and proteins other than
seafood. Sushi is often prepared as various types of complicated rolls.
Two types of sushi are Bou-zushi and Nigiri-zushi. Nigiri-zushi is a ball of rice
that is squeezed, shaped and topped with wasabi. It has sliced raw or cooked
seafood placed on top, or cooked vegetable, or tomagoyaki. Bou-zushi is shaped
like a bar with predominately rice but covered with other ingredients on the
outside.
