Another friend's 50-seat restaurant in New York City is only half-full most of the time, including weekend nights. How can RM help him?

Answer to Question 1

The low RevPATI strategies would be appropriate, such as creating demand, making price more variable and offering discounts or coupons, and creating new products to stimulate demand. These demand creation strategies are an example of how the RM field is expanding from a way to manage inventory to a customer-centric and organization-wide way to operate.

Answer to Question 2

The high RevPATI strategies would be appropriate. For example, RM could help her make duration more controllable, smooth demand from peak to off-peak periods, or find ways to create customer segments that can be charged variable prices.
