The director says that two successive z-axis index vectors will be interpreted by the
  viewer as converging. The associate director, however, claims that the viewer will interpret
  them as diverging index vectors. Who is right? Why?

The novice associate director insists on zooming in on two people facing each other to
  get a tighter shot rather than cutting to close-ups. He claims that any change in camera
  and people positions would destroy the continuity when the shots are edited together.
  Do you agree with this decision? If so, why? If not, why not?
