Answer to Question 1

The chart of standard tactics in Chapter 9 (p. 277) may help  though
encouraging students to think outside the box will also be useful. Standard tactics
could have included exclusive pitch letters to targeted media, actualities for
radio, a tie-in to a charity, and a satellite media tour. As for going outside the
box, the public relations team might have considered letting web viewers vote for
who won the ninth date.

Answer to Question 2

Source: Yahoo Personals Message: Real people like you can get great dates
with Yahoo Personals. Channel: the news media, notified through b-roll, media
advisory, radio contest, and the billboard itself. Receiver: dating age single
adults. Feedback: hits on the web site, increase in subscriptions, e-mails to
Koehnen. Noise: primarily, other news stories and the everyday distractions in
the lives of single adults.
