Culture of sharing refers to the expectation that all information and news should
be free and available to everyone. I have seen this around the college campus as students want to
access periodicals and other information online so as to not have to pay for a subscription. The same could be said of pirating. Even though we know it is wrong, because so much is free and
available to everyone, students seem to feel entitled to free and available music, movies, and
other forms of entertainment as well.
