The Solicitor General argues all cases that involve the U.S. Government before the U.S. Supreme Court. Appeals to the Court are coordinated by the Office of the Solicitor General; with few exceptions, all government agencies must get authorization from the Solicitor General before an appeal to Court may be filed.
