Answer to Question 1

Answer: The basic premise of feminist theories is that most women in the world have lived in cultures controlled by men for so long that what look like inherent differences could be due to generations of social pressure. There is also a political element to feminist theory in that they suggest that many differences between men and women are construed as value differences, i.e., one difference is constructed to be seen as superior to the other difference. They also point out that whoever holds power in a culture or a science gets to decide on the research agenda so that the very questions that get researched may hold gender bias.

Answer to Question 2
