Answer to Question 1

d

Answer to Question 2

Critical criminologists are concerned with the use and misuse of power and the ability of groups to shape public opinion and to control others' actions. They also are concerned with the discrepancies in punishments between the powerful and the powerless. Critical criminologists critique the role that criminologists play in supporting the status quo and aiding in the oppression of the poor and powerless. Concern also centers around the American political system as the country becomes more involved in international affairs and is actively dismantling social welfare programs and cutting spending on social programs.
