Answer to Question 1

The majority of public schools experience crime on school grounds. While some crimes, such as sexual assaults and rapes occur at night, and other crimes peak during summer months, especially July and August, school violence peaks in the fall once students arrive back at school and new underclassmen begin their education. For adolescents, victimization decreases when the summer months arrive because of the dismissal of school.
