Pro: may reduce crime and disorderly conduct, community may begin to care about their neighborhoods, offenders may rethink committing crime, may increase police involvement. Con: may infringe on civil liberties, may make law-abiding citizens uncomfortable, offenders may commit crime in other areas, very costly, may not reduce crime, community members may feel harassed.
