Explain the difference between the bourgeoisie and proletariat and how some believe it contributes to crime. Give your opinion on whether or not you think this theory holds true.

Answer: In capitalist society, the two major classes are the bourgeoisie who own the factories and other modern means of production, and the proletariat, who work for the bourgeoisie. The bourgeoisies primary interest is to maintain its dominance by exploitation and oppression; the proletariats primary interest is to eliminate oppression by overthrowing the bourgeoisie. Opinions will vary.
