Some use neurological research findings and psychological as well as social learning to explain why one child in the family might have problems while others dont under same parenting

Child rearing must involve socialization & discipline to overcome innate low self-control
While crime is product of low self-control, not everyone with low self-control commits crime

Crime combines a propensity to commit with opportunity present in environment which creates propensity/event that entices individuals and promises gratification
Low intelligence also causes someone to miscalculate the consequences of an action
Parents are responsible and self-control must be taught by 6-8 years of age
Low self-control traits once formed are stable over ones life
