Answer: A unit manager is a person in charge of a unit. Case managers are social workers who are in charge of the treatment and rehab for inmates. Correctional counselors work with the inmates regarding daily issues they encounter.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Unit management increases staff-inmate communication, which allows staff to better meet the individual needs of the inmates. In addition, security improves based on the decentralization of the supervision.
