Answer to Question 1

Mechanicalvigorously mix the resin with a gas

Answer to Question 2

Slush molding is a process that uses a powdered resin suspended in a nonvolatile solvent as the starting material. The mold and processing equipment can be similar, at least in function, to standard rotomolding equipment. The mold is filled with the liquid material and is then heated and rotated so that the walls are uniformly coated with material that sticks as it becomes hot. When the material

stuck to the walls of the mold has reached the desired thickness, the mold rotation is stopped and the excess liquid is poured out of the mold. The mold is then returned to the oven and rotated until fused. The cycle is completed by cooling and then unloading the part.

Answer to Question 3

Cell casting does not use high pressures and can, therefore, use a much wider variety of materials for molds and other processing equipment. Hence, the capital costs associated with casting are usually much less than would be required with other plastic processing methods. The absence of a need to withstand high pressures also means that casting can be used for making very large parts.
