Benefits of Databases: allow for multiple criteria to be evaluated, creates a central location for information review, lists all the information for the different types of plastics, etc.
Limitations of Databases: not all the plastics listed are available anymore, not all of the desired search criteria may be available for searching the database, etc.

Answer to Question 3

Paper sacks are seen to be more polluting to make and dispose of. They can be biodegradable, although probably not in landfills because the conditions are not correct for degradation. The weight of paper bags and the volume of paper bags

are both much higher than an equal number of plastic bags, thus complicating the landfill problem.

Incineration has a great potential for air pollution from the waste gases of the burning process.
