Answer to Question 1

Chain should be stored in a clean dry well ventilated room. A light coat of oil will help guard against rust. You should never store chain on a concrete floor. It will absorb moisture from the concrete.

Answer to Question 2

Chain will withstand rough handling and will not kink. It is affected by dirt and is much more resistant to abrasion and corrosion than wire rope.
