The three basic types of loads bearings are required to handle are:
 
  What will be an ideal response?

An enveloping type worm:
 
  A. Must be specially manufactured for your particular application.
  B. Allows greater reduction ratios but can carry only a relatively light load.
  C. Has more teeth and surface area in contact with the worm gear.
  D. Wraps completely around the worm gear, totally enclosing it.

(a) Radial Loads: Where force is exerted at 90 degrees from the shaft axis.
(b) Axial Thrust Loads: Where force is exerted parallel to the shaft axis.
(c) Combination loads: Where both radial and axial loads are present.
