All the following statements regarding sectional views is correct except:
 
  a. All visible edges and contours behind the cutting plane should be shown.
  b. The type of cutting plane symbol you use depends on the type of sectional view to be shown.
  c. Each section is completely independent of the other and drawn as if the other were not present.
  d. Hidden lines are omitted in sectional views.
  e. The arrows on a cutting plane indicate the viewing direction.

The gore method is a method of making an approximate development of the double curved surface of a sphere by dividing it into equal sections with meridian planes and substituting cylindrical surfaces for the spherical sections.
