How do you paint multiple faces at one time?

Question 2

When using the Rotate tool, how do you lock the protractor to a specific orientation? What other tool allows you to lock the orientation on an object before you begin to create it?

Answer to Question 1

If you press Shift while clicking a face to paint it, all faces that have the same color as the face you're clicking will get painted with the new color / material. If you press Ctrl / Option, all contiguous faces will be painted.

Answer to Question 2

Move the cursor so that the protractor is oriented correctly, then press and hold the Shift key while placing the protractor where you want it. The Circle tool works the same way.
