Answer to Question 1

Answer: Perspective-taking is the ability to see the world from another's point of view.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Self-expansion is the desire to expand the self by including traits, qualities, and skills of another. High openness to experience is linked to self-expansion. For example, if you date someone from another culture, you will learn about that culture. You might learn another language or about another religion. You might also form relationships with others from that culture, such as the friends and family of your partner. This self-expansionbasically, learning about the exoticis part of what makes the new guy or the foreign girl so attractive. Open people are more likely to explore these types of new relationship experiences.
