Answer to Question 1

Answer: Negative reinforcement is taking away something undesirable in order to encourage a desired behavior. An example of negative reinforcement would be for a teacher to take away homework on Thursday if the class gets the homework in for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Answer: Animals in B.F. Skinner's Skinner boxes learned to press a lever to receive food.
