Answer: The color red has been explicitly linked to sexuality across time and culture through such things as red-light districts, red hearts for Valentine's Day, red body paint as a symbol of a woman's fertility, and red as a symbol of adultery.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Seeing someone else, such as your opponent in a wrestling match, wearing red may affect your performance. Scientists think it primes avoidance motivation and can harm performance.
