Answer to Question 1

Answer: Freud and Breuer attempted to use hypnosis to uncover the unconscious origins of Anna O.'s symptoms and were unsuccessful.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Anna O. could not move her right arm or leg and suffered terrifying hallucinations.
