CLARIFICATION OF FEELINGS: As feelings are expressed, the therapist repeats those expressions in different words to make the client more aware of what her/his true feelings are.
RESTATEMENT OF CONTENT: As ideas are expressed, the therapist repeats those expressions in different words to the client to clarify the cognitive content of what the client is saying.
