Heat measures the energy produced by vibrating molecules, specifically how many are vibrating and
how fast they are. Temperature only measures how fast molecules are moving. Temperature is the

Heat is stored in the ocean during the day and released at night. Liquid water has important
thermostatic balancing effects, an Earth without an ocean would be much colder in winter and hotter in
