For the most part, the lower atmosphere is homogeneous. There are additional elements and
compounds present in the atmosphere, but they only comprise 1 of the composition. Information can
be found in the section The Atmosphere Is Composed Mainly of Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Water Vapor
