Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

Tides are the longest of all ocean waves and in general, appear as periodic changes in the height of the ocean surface. Tides are short-term local phenomena caused by the gravitational pull of the water by the moon and the sun and also by the centrifugal force of a rotating Earth. The wavelength of a tide can be half of the Earth's circumference, so they always interact with the sea floor, making them shallow water waves. Tides are also forced waves. A forced wave is a wave (tide) that is never free of the forces that cause it.
