Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

The atmosphere and the ocean are tightly coupled. At the surface, atmospheric gases diffuse freely into the ocean and gasses from the ocean enter the atmosphere. Water that evaporates out of the ocean is moved around in the atmosphere by winds and then in many cases delivered back to the ocean as precipitation. This interaction plays a significant role in distributing heat around the planet, ultimately dictating weather and global climate conditions.
