Surface waves cause the most damage during earthquakes. These waves ripple in an undulating
movement along the surface of the Earth. Information can be found in the section The Study of

ANS: C
When oceanic crust is subducted under the continental crust there are parts that get sheared off and
transferred onto the edges of the continental crust. These assemblages are called Ophiolites and are
found on all continents. They contain metallic ores similar to those found at spreading centers.
