ANS: B
Continents and basins topography makes the continuous flow of water impossible. These features
deflect moving water in circular patterns. The flow around the edges of an ocean basin is a gyre.

ANS: B
The topography of the ocean basin hinders the North Atlantic Deep Water from moving much farther
than the isolated area it resides in. There are some channels that the water uses to escape through.
