Answer to Question 1

Skimming is when a credit card's magnetic stripe details, including the account number and PIN, are electronically copied by a small hand-held device known as a skimmer, which is used to make a counterfeit card or for online purchases. Perpetrators can obtain these hand-held devices online and use them to capture the credit card account holder information.
