Megan's laws focus upon community notification of sex offenders.

Question 2

An officer without jurisdiction makes an out of state arrest and brings the arrestee before the court of a state where the crime was committed. The non-jurisdictional arrest deprives the court of its jurisdiction to try the defendant.
