Good answers should address the random selection of a jury pool and how it is randomly narrowed down to a panel for a particular trial and the available equal protection and fair cross -section challenges to those processes. The purpose and procedure for voir dire, type of challenges, and the impermissible bases for excluding jurors should also be explained.
