Answer to Question 1

Hezbollah is the largest Shi'a radical Islamic terrorist group. The group is headed by Hassan Nasrallah and is focused on the destruction of Israel and the expulsion of Western powers (including the United States) from the Middle East. Hezbollah is heavily funded and supported by Iran and has been suspected in a number of bloody and vicious suicide bombings, including the 1983 barracks bombing in Beirut, killing 241 Marines. Hezbollah is a threat to the United States, Israel, and to those Middle Eastern countries that are predominantly Sunni.
