Robots are now fitted with video capability, including night vision; a camera (also useful for photographing crime scenes); a TASER; and even the ability to engage in two-way communications. Bomb-sniffing robots with 7-foot arms to scan the inside and undercarriage of vehicles for bombs, lights, video cameras that zoom and swivel, obstacle-hurling flippers, and jointed arms with hand-like grippers to disable or destroy bombs.
